Having kept a record of the card draws every day of October, I wondered if there were any patterns. In a 45 card deck there should be a reasonable spread of card draws, especially as I am really good at shuffling cards. I thought there might not be a pattern, but I was wrong.
Here are the results –
- In joint first place, Creative Project and Innocence
- In joint second place, Be Honest with Myself, Go For It, and Law of Attraction
So here’s my take on things. As some of you may know, I have been sweating over this meeting for most of October!
The Innocence card was more of a challenge for me. It asks that I give over my feelings of anger and blame to my Angels so that I can enjoy peace within my heart again. It is also a reminder to try to see the Godliness within the person am I angry at to heal the situation. Let’s just say this is a work in progress but I am trying hard to feel more at peace with my relationship with my mother. Rome wasn’t built in a day and it didn’t have my mum peering over its shoulder, tutting at things!
I reckon the Creative Project card refers to this little blog, encouraging me to run some publicity for in via the Facebook page. The advert did surprisingly well and has encouraged me to make more time to write regularly and to plan ideas the week before.
So far, so good.
Being honest with myself had an additional meaning in the booklet, to trust my own feelings even if others don’t agree. As a lifetime people pleaser, I wasn’t sure I could do this, but then the card just kept coming up. Time to put on my ‘kick-butt shoes’ and ‘Go for it’ as the other frequent card suggested.
The law of attraction card was very helpful. The more I worried about the meeting this weekend, the more likely it was to be my worst nightmare. Worry would only attract more worry. It encouraged me to imagine the best possible scenario for the meeting, and to focus on this image and feeling.
By the end of this week, I will know if this strong focus on positive outcomes has worked. My mother usually waits for a few days following our meet-ups before she delivers a stinging put-down by phone. I have an image of her calling me to reminisce about the fun we had and how come nobody suffered a hangover the following day!
Happy Monday everyone x
