Here’s what popped into my head yesterday afternoon –
“You’re only as old as you think you are!”
At the time I was running… for the first time since I can’t remember when.
As you may remember from an earlier post this year, I decided not to make resolutions, but to set goals for myself. These goals are currently being broken down into bite-sized chunks.
Chunk one occurred yesterday afternoon. I dug out my old winter running kit and headed off out. With such a long gap since I last ran, speed-walking and alternating between a gentle jog and recovery walks was the name of the game.
I had no idea how much I’d missed bobbing along my village, waving to neighbours, and checking out what is growing in the gardens. To my delight, I saw snowdrops in full bloom. What a welcome sight at this time of the year. It reminded me that Spring is just around the corner.
By the time I was on my way home, I was feeling positively chirpy, which is when this week’s one-liner popped up. It is true. I absolutely refuse to be caught up in an ‘age cage’!
Happy Wednesday everyone xx

Your one-liner is true. I consistently believe I’m still 30, while avoiding eye contact with the birth certificate. Enjoy your running!

Birth certificates show numbers only. Today my head thinks I’m around thirty too. 😁
