… when you are having fun! Goodness me. It’s Wednesday already. Hooray for the middle of the week. Wait. No. It’s not the middle this week. This particular Wednesday is the equivalent of Thursday (or Friday Eve), with the promise of four days back-to-back break from work for those of us celebrating Easter.
I’d love to say that I’d had fun on Monday and Tuesday, but I didn’t. At best I felt meh (see Monday‘s post). At worst, downright miserable. I’ve no idea why. If I did, I’d have taken steps to remedy the situation. They passed in a blur, hence the surprise at seeing Linda’s One-liner Wednesday post this morning.
That’s the cool thing about time – the perception of the speed of it passing is proportional to the amount of fun being had. But then there are exceptions to the rule – one of which is being on the menopause rollercoaster. This can create warped perception of time and fun. This may go along way to explaining my surprise this morning and my morose state over the preceding two days.
I’d better put down “A Brief History of Time” by Stephen Hawking (yes, I do actually own the book!) before I get any more odd ideas about time!
Happy almost end of the week everyone xx
If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.
NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
1. Make it one sentence.
2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.
3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.
4. Add our very cool badge to your post for extra exposure!
5. Have fun!
I don’t know if it’s related, but I find the weeks after the change to DST to be out of sync somehow.

I think you are on to something Dan. Reading back through my journals I can see a trend of meh and feeling weird around the time of each equinox…. and clock change!

We see a change, even with our dog. It’s like something isn’t right (which is the whole DST thing).

Mine seems to be oblivious to the clock change…. she was mad as a box of frogs before, and still is today!🤪

Your picture reminds me that “Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin… into the future. But I do love those moments that I’m able to slow down.

It is so good for the body and soul to take things slowly, really notice things. The picture reminds me of Dali, and also the Time Warp… its a jump to the left 🤪
