What is it about time that makes it feel as if it’s moving at snails pace on a Friday afternoon, particularly the last working hour of the week? Then come Sunday, it races as fast as possible, trying to be Monday morning way before I’m ready for it.
If you thought that time was a constant fixed rate of ticking and tocking you are in for a surprise. In the world of Einstein’s theory of relativity, it is highly likely that time flew faster last Sunday than it did on Friday afternoon, especially if you were at a higher altitude on the Sunday compared to Friday.
Confused?
Me too!
However, I found an article published in 2010, which attempts to explain it all. Click here to read it.
It seems that time does indeed fly faster the higher up off the ground you are. Good news if you’re suffering from flu. Get yourself transported to a penthouse suite and recover faster under the influence of a faster time stream, than staying at ground level.
Happy Friday everyone xx
Thanks to Linda and M! for supplying today’s prompt, ‘flew, flu, flue’.
Time clearly slows down on Friday.
