#JusJoJan 18th – we’re better off together

So today’s word is ‘companionship’, a feeling of togetherness, camaraderie, and mutual support. A fellowship. Nothing like what’s happening here in the UK with Brexit. I don’t want a divorce from Europe. I want our fellowship!

Those of you who’ve been following this blog for a reasonable length of time can probably guess where my mind went to this morning; straight to Middle Earth and the Fellowship, comprising members from all countries, bonded by a common goal. Although the fellowship did not remain at the full headcount for most of the trilogy, they still remained true to each other and to their purpose.

Poor old Frodo and Sam were down to a fellowship of two at one point, and not two of the strongest, battle-hardened chaps. Their companionship and mutual support is what saw them through the hardest of times. Bless them. I’m not sure what they’d make of all Brexit stuff. They’d probably say it was the work of Sauron, planting the seeds of  discontent among the people.

I’ve had it with the news being all about Brexit. I’m off. If you need me, just pop in past Rivendell, I’ll be chilling out waiting for the storm to pass.

Happy Friday everyone xx

Pop on over to Linda’s site, say hi, and take a look at the rules for JusJoJan. While you’re there, why not visit with the supplier of today’s word, Di.
