#SoCS – the merits of leather and suede

Following on from last weekend’s #SoCS contributions, I’m continuing the dance theme.

Last week’s dance class half-time chat over cups of tea, involved the merits of leather soles versus suede soles for men’s dance shoes. After much deliberation, demonstrations of spins turns etc, the jury (aka the Ladies) was undecided.

I’ve had experience of both for ladies shoes and I much prefer a suede sole. It’s grippy when needed but with enough slip to spin without wrenching a knee or two.

One thing’s for sure, we all agree that our weekly class, giggles and gossip included, is food for the soul.

In the meantime, I’ve taken matters into my own hands and bought Mr D a proper pair of suede soled dance shoes. I’m sick of seeing him in battered old boots with worn out soles. I can’t wait to see his face when I present them to him at our class. With a bit of luck, Linda’s prompt for next week will fit well with an update for you!

This week’s light-footed nonsense sprung from Linda’s prompt to use the words soul or sole. I hope you enjoyed it.
