To be smart or wise today? These are my options. The smartiepants in me knows what to say but the wise crone knows whether to say it or not.
Wisdom won.
The smartiepants might have made a career-limiting move by shooting her mouth off at not getting her promotion.
The crone knows how to bide her time till the right opportunity presents to restate her request.
An alternative one-liner could be ‘good things come to those who wait’. Just don’t keep the crone waiting too long!!
