Another week has flown by. It doesn’t seem any time at all since last week’s SoCS. Here’s a reminder of the instructions for today’s prompt-
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “animal sounds.” Write about the sounds animals make and how you experience them. Have fun!
This is my day in animal sounds
5am…. Twit Twit Twit….. Twoooooooooo! Owl perched on our chimney pot, chatting with its friend.
7am… Thunk! Thunkety-thunk! Bark Bark Bark BARK BARKBARKBARK – doggo running head first into our bedroom door. Tries to open the door. Fails. Resorts to shouting.
8am… chirpy cheeps. Sweet, loud chirpy cheeps. Twitterpated male blackbird singing for the ladies.
3pm…. COCKADOODLEDOOOOOOOOO! Neighbour’s cockerel strutting his funky stuff for his flock. Clearly he has no internal clock… or it’s running in a different time zone.
5pm… ZZZZZZZzzzzz, Grunt. Snork. zzzzzzZZZZzzzzz – doggo lying flat on her back, legs in the air, snoring her head off after a long romp in the woods.
10pm… Hoooooo. Hooooooo. Twit. Twit. … hoooooooo! Blooming owls again.
Thank you Linda for the cool prompt.

I liked the format you chose! The different time zone remark made me giggle. 🙂

This particular cockerel thinks nothing of shouting out at any time of the day.
It’s even funnier when the cuckoos arrive. Sometimes they get to 34 o’clock before they shut up! I know because I’ve counted!!!!
