SoCS – Random ponderings!

Hi there. Bet you were wondering where I’d disappeared to (or not)? Times have been strange lately, strange and dark. But I digress. This is Linda’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday challenge. Use the word ‘fan’ anyway we like.

So, having the brain I do, I hum along to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody – “I see a little silhouette of a man
Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango”
and the next thing I’m thinking about the first blogger I followed on WordPress – yes you’ve guessed it, the one and only Fandango! Pop over and say ‘Hi’.

Given my username on WordPress you already know I’m a huge fan of fantasy fiction. Who doesn’t need a good dose of fantasy to escape real life these days? Middle Earth is a much safer place to be right now.

If I’m not in Middle Earth, I’m likely holed up safely in Hogwarts with a signed copy of Newt Scamander’s ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’. Safe right up to the moment one of Fred and George’s Fanged Frisbees find me!

Back in the real world where the weather has turned much cooler, my thoughts turn to suitable wines for the evening. It’s too cold for a Pinot Grigio so I’m opting for something red, something loaded with virtual sunshine – a Zinfandel. Cheers!

  1. I agree: Middle Earth is a much safer place to be right now, especially if we can be in Rivendell or Lothlórien with the elves. I never get tired of watching those parts in the movies.

  2. I’ve had to put down several nonfiction books I was reading before all this started. They’re just too hard to concentrate on right now. Books I can escape into are much better for me right now!
