A woman is like a tea-bag; you never know how strong it is until it’s in hot water
Eleanor Roosevelt
I know I’ve used this quote a few years ago but it’s exactly how I feel about my sister and me. Today I had to bite the bullet and give my Dad a verbal boot up the butt to get his head out of the sand regarding Mum’s care plan going forward. I knew I had to do it, instantly feeling like a naughty kid about to fess up to some misdeed… but somewhere deep inside I found the courage and strength to do it anyway.
I may need a lie-down in a darkened room to recover.

I honestly think one of the hardest parts about getting older is having to have those hard conversations with our parents. I’ve had to have a few with my dad where I literally felt like throwing up beforehand. 😆

So I’m not the only one that nearly lost her brekky before a serious phone call 🤗

Thank you Dan. It just feels like all I do is deliver crap news to my Dad these days.
