These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb.

Mr D and I went on a short trip last week, just three nights away in a remote country inn. The Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors were ours to wander round…. so we did. It was good to stop carrying the mountain-sized cares I’ve carried for the past few months and breathe in fresh air.
Although we didn’t climb mountains, we did aim to climb up to visit the Cook Monument. Due to my wonky navigational sensors, we climbed the wrong peak, ending up at the top of Roseberry Topping in a howling gale! As I clung onto Mr D, we looked out across the moors, spotting our target on the opposite peak. I’ll not live this one down for quite some time!

Just the kind of thing I might do. I also have wonky navigational sensors. I thought I was the only person in the world with that flaw!

Normally he’s the one with the ‘interesting’ sense of direction. I suppose it had to happen at some time 🤣

That’s a great quote. Funny story about climbing the wrong peak. I suspect that you’re right about hearing about that again.
