#JusJoJan 21st – Time to get into shape

Lockdown and Christmas weight gain doesn’t magically fall from your body just because you wish it did. There’s no magic spell either. Trust me, I looked! There’s only moving more and eating healthy.

I’ve not had a drop of wine, beer or gin since 10th January. Not because I’ve sworn off the booze, but more to do with an unwanted visit from gum abscess fairy. No idea how it sneaked in. All I know is that I’m on antibiotics for a spell…. the kind that don’t play nice with alcohol. Boo!

On the bright side, this dry spell will help me prize off some unwanted waistline poundage. Every cloud has a silver lining. I will exit lockdown 3.0 in better shape than I entered it!

  1. I like your attitude! Years ago, I gave up alcohol along with sweets and sodas – anything high calorie and low nutrition. It was an adjustment but worked out well. I have sweets occasionally now. Best wishes!
