JusJoJan 26th – The finishing line is in sight

Today marks the end of a significant phase in our master bedroom suite refurbishment project. Every spare moment this week has seen Mr D, Cost Centre 1 (aka eldest kid) and myself busy painting walls, ceilings, skirting boards, doors and architraves. A marathon effort!

This finishing touches are being applied in advance of new carpeting arriving next week. This morning I will be busy setting up new curtains, busy swearing as I try to balance the cords that open and close the curtains, and busy adjusting the header tape of said curtains to ensure and even spread of pencil pleats.

All this has to be completed by midday as Mr D and I, being the only Scottish people in our dance club, are needed to perform the Address to the Haggis for the club’s Burns Supper afternoon dance. While we are stepping out on the dance floor, kilts swirling, CC1 will be busy putting on the last coat of paint on the dressing room shelves.

By 6pm, I hope we are busily engaged in more relaxing duties – stargazing from the hot tub.

Aaaaand relax!

Pop over to Linda’s site for the JusJoJan rules and while you’re at it, go say hi to the supplier of today’s prompt, Saumya.

I’m taking time out from all social media over the Christmas season to concentrate on my family and myself.

I’d like to thank each and every one of my readers for joining me this year. I wish you and yours a peaceful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

See you all in January 2019.

With love, Cath xx
